Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons makes key financial services hire as it welcomes Banking partner Max Millington to its London Office.
He has a particular focus on domestic and cross-border mid-market private debt origination and restructuring, including direct lending, junior financings, super-senior financings, rescue financings and special situations investments. Max also offers significant experience in financings for borrowers operating in regulated industries.
Max will be joining the Banking & Restructuring team, focusing primarily on clients within the financial services and TMT sectors.
Commenting on the appointment, Pinsent Masons’ head of Banking and Restructuring EMEA Matt Morgan said:
“Max’s reputation precedes him, and he will add significant strength to our capabilities in leveraged and event-driven corporate finance work across the London market and internationally. Max’s appointment will open new opportunities for us, enable us to widen our relationships with key clients and strengthen the team’s core capabilities.
“Increasingly, finance is deployed through private debt funds rather than traditional routes and it is important that we are able to broaden our growing client base in this area – Max will significantly enhance our ability to do this.”
Commenting on his appointment, Max added:
“I’m delighted to be joining Pinsent Masons’ very highly regarded Banking and Restructuring practice. My arrival forms part of a compelling strategy to further enhance the firm’s excellent mid-market financing, private equity and restructuring platforms. I look forward to contributing to the success of that cross-practice strategy and, in so doing, ensuring market-leading support for existing and new clients as they pursue their financing and recapitalisation objectives.”
Max will work closely with banking partner Vanessa Heap to lead and grow the firm’s leveraged finance offering.
