Begoña has experience in complex civil and corporate litigation in Spain as well as in international commercial arbitration under the rules of LCIA, ICC and other Spanish arbitration institutions rules such as the CAM and the CEA.
Begoña is an Associate in the Litigation and Arbitration department of Pinsent Masons Madrid. Begoña has experience in complex civil and corporate litigation in Spain as well as in international commercial arbitration under the rules of LCIA, ICC and other Spanish arbitration institutions rules such as the CAM and the CEA. Litigious and arbitral matters in which Begoña has represented clients include, among others, civil liability disputes, corporate conflicts, interim measures, advice on enforcement and annulment of awards, disputes in relation to distribution within the European Union, agency contracts, and disputes related to EPC and O&M contracts in PV projects. Begoña is actively involved in international projects as well as in cross-border disputes with other Pinsent Masons offices, particularly when involving companies with interests in Spain or in Latin America.
Begoña has also an extensive experience in public international law as well as in negotiating with different States as she previously worked as a policy and legal adviser to the Permanent Mission of Spain to the United Nations in New York during Spain's membership at the Security Council.
She has recently been appointed co-chair of the -40 section of the Spanish and Ibero-American Arbitration Club for 2023-2024. She is co-founder of MAD VYAP, a group for young professionals practising international arbitration that is part of the global Very Young Arbitration Practitioners network. Begoña has been recognized by Best Lawyers in International Arbitration in its ranking Ones to Watch since 2023 and actively participates in various arbitration events as a speaker and moderator.
