Webinar

We are delighted to be launching our Regulatory Academy Series to assist clients navigate the regulatory changes that are on the horizon and to dive into areas that constantly present challenges for firms. The Regulatory Academy will complement our existing webinar programmes including the Insurance Academy and Regulatory Risk webinars.

In our first webinar of the series, we will look at the proposed Consumer Composite Investments (CCI) regime – the replacement to the PRIIPs regime. This promises to be a significant shift away from the current position with increased flexibility and tailoring of information to specific products.

What is a CCI?

A CCI is an investment or a contract of insurance where the amount payable to the investor is subject to fluctuation as a result of exposure to reference values from assets which are not directly purchased by the investor. Examples of CCIs include UK and EU UCITS, Alternative Investment Funds, unit linked insurance and with-profits insurance, derivatives and structured deposits.

The new regime is relevant not only to UK authorised firms but also unauthorised firms including those overseas who manufacture or distribute CCIs to UK based retail investors.
