Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has advised Azets Ireland Holdings on a merger with PKF O’Connor Leddy & Holmes.

Azets Ireland is one of the country’s fastest growing professional services firms, providing a range of services including audit, due diligence, valuation, M&A, tax, restructuring, corporate governance, and fund management.

PKF O'Connor, Leddy & Holmes is an industry leading business, employing a team of more than 100 people with offices in Dublin and Waterford. The firm has built a strong track record in the provision of the full range of audit, accountancy, tax, and advisory services for the past sixty years. The two firms will come together under the Azets brand on completion of the deal.

Corporate partner Gerry Beausang led the multidisciplinary Pinsent Masons team, providing specialist advice to Azets across a number of areas including tax, employment, property, data protection and IP.

Commenting on the deal, Gerry Beausang said:

"We are delighted to have advised Azets on its first major acquisition since entering the Irish market last year, and the first transaction led for this client by our Dublin team. PKF O'Connor Leddy & Holmes is a very well-respected practice in the Irish market and as a result of this deal Azets’ Irish business will double in size, expanding their reach to businesses, business owners and non-profit organisations throughout Ireland.

Deputy General Counsel of Azets, Craig Pettit, added:

"We were very pleased to work with Gerry and his team in Pinsent Masons on this important deal, which represents another significant milestone in our ambitious growth strategy for our Irish business.
