Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has advised Desay SV Automotive Europe GmbH, a fully owned subsidiary of Huizhou Desay SV Automotive Co, Ltd, on the sale of its spare parts business to ATTB Antennentechnik Bad Blankenburg GmbH.
Following its sale, Desay will focus exclusively on original equipment for automotive manufacturers specifically to develop their business areas infotainment solutions,driver assistance systems and intelligent antenna solutions.
The sale is being carried out as part of an asset deal in which personnel and assets, such as production equipment and tools, inventories and licensing rights will be transferred to the buyer. The transaction is expected to complete in December.
Corporate partner and lead partner advising on the deal, Dr Markus Friedl, said: “It has been great to see that Desay once again relied on our expertise in the automotive sector and that we were asked to advise the client in such an exciting project.”
Desay SV Europe is headquartered in Weimar, Germany and specialises in antennas and automotive electronics. The technology specialist operates in three segments: Electronics and antenna solutions for the original equipment of vehicles (Desay SV Europe), antennas and accessories for the mobile and stationary aftermarket (ATTB) as well as testing, analysis and optimisation of antenna systems (ATC). Customers include vehicle manufacturers and suppliers, antenna manufacturers as well as energy and industrial companies.
The Antennentechnik Bad Blankenburg brand specializes in the development, production and distribution of antenna solutions in the mobile and stationary aftermarket. The product portfolio includes antennas, RF cables, switches, splitters & amplifiers, and accessories. The main sales market is Europe with a focus on the DACH region. Customers include resellers, value added resellers (VAR) and retrofit companies.
