Pinsent Masons advises EyeQ Optometrists on acquisition by European eyewear company

Multinational firm Pinsent Masons has advised Australian public company Optavi Limited (formerly EyeQ Optometrists Limited) on the sale of its EyeQ Operations business to European-based multinational company EssilorLuxottica SA.

The EyeQ Operations business and practices will continue to operate under the EyeQ brand in Australia. 

EyeQ operates 25 optometry practices across Australia. EssilorLuxottica is a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of ophthalmic lenses, frames and sunglasses.  

The Pinsent Masons team was led by Sydney corporate partner Joni Henry, with special counsel Hannah Syme and associate Jonathan Duff.
