Navigating the application process with Pinsent Masons Vario

The Paralegal Cohort will go live on 21 March 2025, where you will be able to apply through our website. Once you have submitted your application, our recruitment team will review all applications and the successful candidates will be invited to an Assessment Centre in April or May 2025. The application process is designed to be straightforward and transparent, ensuring that you have all the information you need to succeed. From submitting your application to attending the Assessment Centre, we are here to support you every step of the way. 

To begin the application process, visit our website on 21 March 2025 and find the relevant job postings under Business Operations and Legal Careers. Make sure to read the job description carefully and tailor your application to highlight your relevant experience and skills. Your CV should showcase your work experience, academic achievements and any extracurricular activities that demonstrate your commitment to the legal profession.

Once you have submitted your application, our recruitment team will review all applications. This initial review process is thorough and aims to identify candidates who meet our criteria and show potential for success within our programme. If your application is shortlisted, you will be invited to an Assessment Centre. The Assessment Centre is an integral part of our selection process, as it allows us to evaluate your skills and competencies.  

The Assessment Centres will run w/c 28 April and w/c 05 May in our Birmingham and Manchester offices. During the Assessment Centre, you will participate in various activities designed to assess your abilities and potential as a paralegal. These activities will include a welcome presentation, a group exercise, an in-tray exercise and an interview with members of the Vario team. The Assessment Centre also provides an opportunity for you to learn more about Pinsent Masons, our culture, and the exciting opportunities available within our Paralegal Cohort.  

Preparing for the Assessment Centre is crucial to your success. Make sure to research Pinsent Masons and familiarise yourself with our values, practice areas and recent achievements. Practice common interview questions and consider how you can demonstrate your skills and experiences during the assessment activities. Remember, the Assessment Centre is not only an evaluation of your abilities but also a chance for you to showcase your enthusiasm and passion for the legal profession.
