You essentially have a lot of control over your life which is something most people don’t get until retirement.

You are able to negotiate the days/times in which you work and have the ability to say no to an assignment if you aren’t in the position to take it.

Great to be working with and contributing to a good and interesting business, doing varied and complex work that suits my level of experience.

What I really love is coming into new teams or new businesses, observing the dynamics and learning how people work together.

Consulting is a great way to try different things; different companies, cultures, industries.

It’s an exciting opportunity for lawyers to be entrepreneurs.

Becoming a Vario has really allowed me to build up my illustration practice and work on projects that I would never have previously had time for.

I could run the fishing business full time in summer when it boomed and still have a professional career in winter.

Working as a Vario lawyer has given me the flexibility to curate my life.

The flexibility was also another big draw. I wanted to travel more and spend more time on my different skills and passions outside of law.
