There are so many opportunities for trainees to be involved in “big-ticket” work from the outset. I’ve helped prepare for and attend a supreme court hearing, I’ve assisted a client launch on a ground-breaking new gene therapy treatment, and I’ve worked on cutting-edge matters involving the latest artificial intelligence software. The firm has supported me in my goal to qualify into the Intellectual Property team, and I’m really excited to start.
I've also been encouraged to get involved with many internal and external neurodiversity opportunities following my autism diagnosis last year. I am co-chair of Pinsent Masons Neurodiversity Network, and I regularly meet up with external organisations and attend panel events to raise awareness of and celebrate neurodiversity in the workplace. Everyone at the firm has been really friendly and supportive regarding my diagnosis and has respected my ways of working.
