Join the team in Aberdeen for a breakfast seminar as we delve into the critical topics of cyber risks and data technology trends that are shaping the energy sector.

Data, AI and Digital Trends
Digital solutions and data play an ever-more important role in the energy system. Technology and optimised use of data are enablers of both oil & gas and the energy transition.

In this session will include:

  • An overview of tech and data trends in the energy sector.

  • Key considerations for collecting, sharing and using data more effectively including a case study based on our advice to an energy sector client on effective sharing of GIS and other data across its supply chain.

  • The continuing move into the cloud: trends in contracting for cloud and SaaS solutions.

  • An AI update: examples of AI deployment in the energy and others sectors and developing practice in AI contracting, compliance and good governance.

Cyber Risks
An increased use of data and moves to digital solutions can increase risks, including cyber risks.

We will talk through our recently launched 2025 Annual Report and discuss:

  • an analysis of the cyber issues encountered during the previous 12 months, and how those trends impact the energy sector,

  • third party risk: the ongoing supply chain challenges and exposures for energy businesses, and

  • the global cyber regulatory landscape, including new rules and regulations that will be of direct relevance to the energy sector, such as recent consultations on ransom payments.
