Session 4 of our Managing Risks in Energy Transition Projects Masterclass Series, where will delve into Design Liability and Defects issues arising from the development and construction of renewable energy projects.
Managing those risks is rarely a simple matter of identifying in the contract what it provides in terms of design liability and whether, as a matter of fact, the design requirements have been met. It often involves the interaction of several parties and a multiplicity of terms and technical requirements - often pulling in different directions with a mix of possibly conflicting obligations. Making sense of these requires a clear understanding of the fundamentals of what design liability entails. And that's what we will try to do in this session by unpacking this topic by reference to practical examples of projects in the energy transition sector.
This masterclass, presented by our energy projects experts Karah Howard and Yong Neng Chan, will take a look at how contractors can navigate their design obligations and how to limit risk exposure. Frédéric Gillion will chair the session.
