Significant global events, fluctuating markets and increased regulatory requirements are putting industrials and manufacturers under immense strain. This means that businesses around the globe rethink and realign their supply chains. Inevitably, this affects Chinese companies doing business in Europe directly, or as important stakeholders within global supply chains.

As part of the regulation, the EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR) comes into force in full on 12th October, 2023. FSR will be the new tool for the EU to regulate foreign subsidies. Also, the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act will expand to further businesses in 2024, and the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive is on the horizon. What does this mean for businesses?

Pinsent Masons cordially invites you to join us for our Sino – German/European lecture series Part 1: “New challenges for Chinese companies doing business in Europe: How to prepare for EU ESG obligations and Foreign Subsidies Controls” to discuss the most important legal topics to consider when doing business in Germany or Europe.
