How to make data pay: the exploitation of intangible assets
It is said that data is the new currency of the information society but how do you make it pay? We will discuss how to exploit intangible assets generally and data more specifically.
As an asset, data is protected by a database right, owned by the organisation investing in its collation, verification and presentation, and exploited by reutilisation. If the data is personal data, we'll look at whether it can be monetised under GDPR, and if it can't, what you need to do to it to take it outside the GDPR regime.
