The proposals include the demolition of existing buildings at the site at Eastern Avenue at Gants Hill and the construction of 105 new flats as well as 730 square metres of commercial space in three blocks ranging from three to seven storeys in height.
The developer said in its design and access statement submitted with the planning application that the scheme will "regenerate a run down area" and provide community benefits, including new jobs, enhancement of the area and provision of social housing.
