Chantel has represented South African and multinational clients in conducting internal investigations and ensuring compliance risk management. Her focus areas include investigations within Africa and across multiple jurisdictions, dispute resolution, review proceedings, and compliance. Chantel’s extensive experience in cross-jurisdictional investigations within the energy and infrastructure sectors has enabled her to play an instrumental role in managing and resolving intricate and high-profile criminal and civil disputes. These disputes often involve large-scale projects across multiple jurisdictions, including South Africa, the United States, Germany, Italy, and England.
Chantel has worked on cases involving corruption, fraud, workplace misconduct, theft, and procurement irregularities. Notably, she was involved in the groundbreaking first of its kind global coordinated settlement for corporate criminal liability in South Africa.
