Sophie holds significant experience in acting for developers and promoters. In particular, she is experienced in dealing with: site acquisition via conditional contracts, strategic options and land promotion and drawdown agreements; set-up of estate management regimes utilising both freehold and leasehold structures; funding of developments via bank finance and forward funding; and site delivery to owners and occupiers via conditional pre-lets and conditional development agreements. The complexity of the deals Sophie has been involved in has often required a focused approach to issues surrounding taxation, environmental liability, public procurement and grant funding and clients recognise her ability to propose and implement commercial solutions within the timescales required. Sophie’s technical ability, tenacity, commitment to delivery of excellent service, collaborative approach and commercialism is acknowledged by both her own clients and the parties on the other side of her transactions.
