Webinar

How the latest Labour Government's reforms will impact businesses and HR teams and what employers can do to ensure they are prepared.

We will bring together a panel of our experts to discuss the changes they consider will have the biggest impact on employers. This event is an excellent opportunity for HR professionals, legal advisers, and business leaders to stay informed and prepared for the upcoming changes in employment law.

In this first session, we are focussing on changes which relate to individual rights. Our expert speakers will provide valuable insights and practical advice to help you navigate change effectively. Key challenges addressed in this session include:

  • What will 'Day One Rights' mean in practice? Will the forecast six-month probationary period limit be confirmed and if so, what actions should employers take? What might this mean for redundancies for those with less than two years’ service?
  • Will the hugely significant reforms to zero-hour/ low-hour contracts provide more job security and stability for workers, or will employers be forced to adopt tactics to reduce their usage?
  • How will changes to flexible working impact?
  • What changes will impact the bottom line, for example changes to family protection and the extension of SSP. Employers will have to adapt to the new protections for workers. We’ll talk about how best to start planning for real change and our interactive discussion will give attendees the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the practical implications with our expert speakers.

Following release of four consultations which provide more detail, a second event is being held on 28 November at 12:00 – 13:00 GMT which will focus on Collective Rights. We will share recordings for both sessions.

Who should attend?

This session will be of interest to HR professionals, line managers and in-house legal teams.
