Claire undertakes a variety of landlord and tenant work acting for corporate clients, investor clients as well as public sector bodies, regularly advising on complex development constraints and with particular expertise in rights of light.
Working for a wide range of clients, Claire has advised on high value disputes relating to the exercise of lease break clauses, dilapidations and lease interpretation disputes.
Claire has assisted landlord clients in developing and implementing comprehensive vacant possession strategies and has comprehensive knowledge of the procedural and tactical considerations under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954. In addition to experience in drafting pleadings, settlements and leading in mediations to settle disputes, Claire offers expertise in rights of light as to negotiations, release documentation, mitigation of risk by way of insurance product and neutralisation of risk through service of light obstruction notices.
